Sara Reichert is an electrical engineer and research assistant at the Technical University of Berlin. Her research focuses on open-source hardware tools, prototyping and participatory technology development. She is a board member of the Association of Open Workshops and is committed to open innovation ecosystems. At TU Berlin, she implements real-world laboratory approaches into the electrical engineering degree programme to enable students to engage in practical, socially embedded technology development. Her work combines engineering, open source and participatory culture.
